Neuromuscular Practice Management II (DPT-0514)

This course, the second in a series of two, focuses on intervention for individuals with movement dysfunction resulting from acquired conditions or injury of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Students will apply knowledge from Clinical Neuroscience and Neuromuscular Practice Management I as they design and implement plans of care for patients with common neurologic conditions. Case study methodology emphasizing evidence-based practice helps the student develop the necessary competencies for physical therapy practice. Lab experiences allow students to build on their clinical reasoning skills and apply knowledge of the movement system to develop and implement evidence-based, patient-centered plans of care.
