Management Across the Lifespan: Pediatrics (DPT-0518)

Using a framework of normal development from birth to young adulthood, and building on motor development concepts previously taught, this course presents fundamental concepts for the physical therapy management of children and adolescents with musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary dysfunction. Topics include atypical developmental and associated impairments, functional limitations, and participation restrictions. The topics of family-centered care, advocacy, and assistive technologies are implicit in this course.
