This course further explores the professional roles of physical therapists, demonstrating the APTA core values of accountability, compassion/caring, altruism, and self-reflection. The course is tailored specifically to the work of a physical therapist where critically conscious interactions, including those with patients, support personnel, supervisors, third-party payers, and other medical professionals are necessary. This course presents foundational content for cultivating a therapeutic partnership with patients and caregivers.
