Movement Science II (DPT-0714)

This course introduces the student to fundamentals of movement science, offers a framework for understanding normal and abnormal movement, and includes concepts of motor control, motor learning, and motor development to explore the positions and transitions of human movement. This course will focus on joint motion, muscle action, and central nervous system control of normal (non-pathological) gait and task analysis of movements. The course will integrate theory and basic principles related to human movement as applied to physical therapist practice.
