Therapeutic Interventions (DPT-0715)

This course introduces foundational biopsychosocial principles related to therapeutic interventions. Principles and application of therapeutic exercise and healing response for the management of patients with pain, strength, and mobility impairments are presented. This course also introduces interventions for pain modulation using selected physical agents, movement, manual therapy techniques, and education for the management of patients with pain and tissue injury while addressing impairments related to mobility, strength, and motor control. The course emphasizes current evidence and clinical decision-making to facilitate appropriate selection, instruction, and progression of interventions.
