Contemporary Asian American Lit & Popular Culture (ENG-0068)

Focus on intersections of race, gender formation, and sexuality in contemporary Asian American literary and popular culture across a range of genres and media, including literature, film, television, and stage. Interdisciplinary examination of concepts of feminism, queerness, and LGBTQ identity in relation to ethnicity, citizenship, power, activism, art, politics, resistance, representation, and collective and individual histories in selected 21st-century Asian American cultural production.
