Individual study of an approved topic guided by a full-time faculty member in the English Department. Students pursuing such study are normally expected to have already taken the department's available courses on the topic, as well as one survey course (ENG 20, 21, 22, or 23). Department permission required. One Directed Independent Study may be counted towards the English major or minor. Prerequisites: ENG 1 and 2 or fulfillment of the College Writing Requirement.
