Foundational design principles through graphic arts tools and processes in print and screen-based media. Analog and digital methods to explore conceptual approaches, visual communication aesthetics, and the deconstruction of conventions in design thinking and production. Techniques and mediums range from typography, print ephemera, and prepress, to creative coding, digital art & design, and the web. Blend modes of art and tech, as well as consider work for distribution in multiple formats. Works by artists and practitioners across mediums are surveyed and analyzed.
