Examination of the 2020 Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics (the Code) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Ethical dilemmas, moral distress, and the legal context of occupational therapy practice. Engagement in ethical reasoning supported by models and theories to address issues currently relevant for OT practitioners and their colleagues, clients, families, and communities. Distinguishing between ethical dilemmas, moral distress, and legal challenges in practice. Gathering information, considering multiple perspectives, identifying and utilizing professional resources, and identifying possible courses of action.
