Theory and practice of restorative justice, in which community members work to resolve criminal cases through community-based processes of mediation, accountability, and repair. Examination of existing models in the United States and abroad that address criminal wrongdoing without punishment. Possible visits from practitioners. Readings from moral and political philosophy, social science, and legal scholarship.
