Overview of large format photography: camera operation, film development, darkroom and digital printing, and basic lighting skills. Technical exploration of the medium, supplemented by in-class discussions about the work of artists who have used large format cameras throughout history and its relevance to, and effect upon, the fine art world today. Reserved access to 4x5 large format cameras and the opportunity to work with 8x10 film. Prerequisite: PHT 0111 or PHT 0113.
