Elementary Russian (RUS-0001)

Introduction to basic communication skills in Russian. Emphasis on speaking and listening. Fundamentals of Russian grammar, including the main parts of speech, verb conjugation, and basic sentence structure. Students learn to talk about friends and family, studies and interests, and daily schedules. Introduction to Russian culture through songs, poems, and brief readings. Online audio and video materials. Students may not earn credit for RUS 01 if RUS 01/2 has already been taken.
