Kinetic Sculpture (SCP-0121)

Intermediate sculpture studio course that investigates movement as a structural, mechanical, and conceptual dimension of sculpture. Design and fabrication of projects that activate form in time and space through mechanical systems, motors, gravity, or responsive elements. Focus on structural planning, fabrication precision, material durability, and iterative prototyping. Readings and lectures situate kinetic practice within contemporary art and technological experimentation. Prior experience in fabrication studios or at least one previous sculpture course recommended. Prerequisites: 3D Foundations or equivalent, or instructor consent.
