Performance-based class on the songs of the musical theater tradition including repertoire selection, analysis of musical styles, and song preparation. Development of a wide-ranging and individualized repertoire of musical theater songs, selection and preparation of audition material, collaborating with an accompanist, and incorporating the singing voice into an effective dramatic presentation.
