Biotransport phenomena as applied to cell membranes, cell sheets and the skin; feedback loops and controllers as applied to physiological homeostasis; physiological signals and sensor design; tissue remodeling and regeneration. Applications to physiological homeostasis, modes of cell and tissue communication, the endocrine system, the integumentary system, the immune system, the nervous system, and the reproductive system. Instruction using a mix of didactic lectures, case studies, experimental/computational labs.
