Ceramics II (CER-0140)

Intermediate-level studio course in ceramics emphasizing individually developed, proposal-driven projects. Students work through wheel throwing, handbuilding, sculptural, or combined approaches while developing their abilities in form, surface, material, process, and content. Research, experimentation, demonstrations, individual meetings, and critique support an independent artistic direction. Projects build on previous experience and challenge students to extend their work through greater scale, complexity, refinement, or conceptual depth. Non-SMFA students will receive a letter grade.
