Screenwriting: Features (FMS-0021)

Development of feature film ideas, from initial concept and premise to screenplay. Weekly discussions and writing activities emphasize developing an individual voice through visual storytelling, dramatic structure, and character development. Screenings and analysis of innovative films and produced screenplays that challenge convention complement discussion of student work. Development of the overall story for a film and completion of the first act of a screenplay. Prerequisites: FMS 0001.
