Psychoanalysis and Cinema (ENG-0180)

Advanced seminar in the relation between psychoanalytic theory and the theory and practice of cinema. Focus on major psychoanalytic writings (primarily by Freud, Lacan, and Žižek) and important work in psychoanalytic film theory in relation to cinematic texts.
